Solving the People Puzzle: What we Learned Leading a Content Transformation
Presented By: Sharon Wetjens-van Dongen and Amandine Huchard (Vanderlande Industries)
In this session, we’ll explore the people-centered challenges of moving from unstructured to structured content. Rather than focusing on tools and processes, we’ll share what it truly took to lead our team through change: shifting mindsets, building trust, and navigating resistance. Attendees will hear about the four phases we experienced — from status quo to innovation — and how leadership played a critical role in each. This is a candid look at transformation from the inside, offering practical lessons for leaders and team members, driving similar changes in their own organizations.

Cover the Software Delivery Value Chain
Presented By: Kai Weber (SimCorp)
See how SimCorp's technical writing team extends its corporate content strategy to the entire delivery chain of the Software Development Life Cycle. Beyond user assistance, they can now also cover documentation from pre-sales business scopes through onboarding to cross-team internal processes. By turbo-charging MadCap with custom plugins for markdown conversion and AI language reviews, they convert Azure DevOps wiki content into enterprise-level client-facing documentation that scales. The information architecture includes a custom metadata model that anticipates content archetypes across the entire value delivery chain of design, build, deploy, and maintain. The automated publishing pipeline supports CI/CD, standardizes the content user experience, and improves content flow across silos.

DRM Reinvented: Secure, Scalable Content for a Connected World
Presented by: Jean-Francois Ameye (MadCap Software)
For technical communication teams, controlling access to content is no longer optional—it’s essential. Advances in DRM now make it possible to secure content at scale while maintaining seamless user experiences and efficient publishing workflows.
This session examines how today’s DRM capabilities integrate with modern content platforms to support entitlement-based access, analytics-driven decisions, and flexible delivery options. Learn how DRM can work with your content strategy—not against it—to help you confidently publish, share, and protect your most valuable information.

The Danfoss Transformation Towards Intelligent Content
Presented by: Ulrike Parson (Parson Europe) & Janna Haapala (Danfoss Drives)
In 2023, Danfoss began a major transformation from traditional, document-based technical documentation to topic-based authoring with DITA, driven by ambitious content strategy goals. This session walks through the key phases of that journey, starting with the original technical communication environment and the limitations of a constrained TechDoc system that created inefficiencies and pain points for authors. It then explores Danfoss’s strategic vision for moving toward a flexible, modular information architecture built around intelligent content and a CCMS that empowers technical communicators to work more efficiently. Attendees will see how this vision was realized through a series of subprojects, including the evaluation and selection of a CCMS, the introduction of IXIA CCMS and the setup of DITA structures, the development of an iiRDS-based metadata model, content migration, and the rollout of dynamic release management. The session concludes with a look ahead at Danfoss’s roadmap and the next steps in their ongoing evolution toward fully intelligent content.

How to work with 25 users, 59 languages and 6000+ builds a year
Presented by: Thomas Bro-Rasmussen (GN Hearing)
On top of having an extremely large number of Flare projects, targets, files, there's almost no single build which is the same as the next. We often say that we have one rule and a zillion exceptions. I will present our solution for managing these large amounts. It involves vast use of meta tags and development for both local and server builds. We build across all projects, and their targets in various branches – all at once. Our world of medical devices requires a range of checks. All these are handled automatically. Conditions, variables, and other target settings are stored in databases. We have even enhanced our PDF outputs, so they have become an asset for change management, translation agencies, identification of snippets, topics, and image names in the PDF files.
In short, we have enhanced what is already fantastic in Flare. We have just made it possible for 20+ users to work in a totally different way.

Effective Medical Disclosure – How Software Documentation Is Created as a Team at Thieme Compliance
Presented by: Manuel Voges (Thieme Compliance), Birgit Becker (HelpDesign)
In this session, we’ll show you how MadCap Flare can be successfully used to create and maintain software documentation. The workflow at Thieme Compliance begins with ticket creation in Jira and extends through editing in MadCap Flare Desktop to final publication in MadCap Flare Online and Git. Thieme Compliance delivers HTML5 outputs for various software products and user roles, and also offers several PDF outputs. The team at Thieme Compliance consists of four authors, eight editors, and an information architect.
The transition process to MadCap is still underway. We’ll share which steps have already been completed and which are still required. Along the way, you’ll learn many practical tips and tricks for your daily work.

From Docs to Bots: Building and Grounding an AI Agent on your Content
Presented by: Chris Kocher (MadCap Software)
Organizations now have to serve both human and agentic audiences: an unexpected advancement that finds both content and infrastructure unprepared. So, let's step into the future of technical documentation and learn how to solve this dilemma by turning your content into an intelligence asset. This advanced workshop will show you how to connect MadCap Syndicate’s Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) endpoint with AI agent frameworks like Copilot Studio. Participants will get hands-on with tools like Postman to test and explore Syndicate’s APIs. Then, we’ll walk through building a live AI agent that is controlled by your proprietary content that can answer real-world technical documentation queries. Whether you’re a technical writer exploring AI, or a developer interested in workflow automation, you’ll leave with the skills and patterns to start embedding AI-powered content delivery into your own organization.
