Leigh has been with MadCap since 2013, where she has led new customer implementations, provided IXIA CCMS, content strategy, and DITA support to customers and fellow teammates, and served as a product owner for the CCMS. She currently focuses on the CCMS documentation and advises the development team. Leigh is also the author of DITA For Print: A DITA Open Toolkit Workbook and a contributor to The Language of Content Strategy and The Language of Technical Communication. A conference veteran, Leigh has spoken on XML, DITA, AI, and content management systems at many conferences over the years, including MadWorld, CCMSLink, DITA North America/ConVEx, DITA Europe, Intelligent Content, Lavacon, the STC Summit, and Writers UA. In her spare time, she hikes, bikes, reads, conlangs, and is an avid woodturner.

Moving to the IXIA CCMS: You Already Know More Than You Think!
Are you a Flare user who’s looking to move into the IXIA CCMS and you’re not sure what to expect? Don’t be intimidated! Sure, the interface is different, but there’s more common ground than you think. This presentation will focus on those similarities, showing you where you can leverage your knowledge of Flare concepts right away in the IXIA CCMS. For example, if you’re familiar with HTML, then you already know half the DITA tag names! Do you know what a Snippet is? Great—you already understand DITA conrefs. We’ll explore a lot more parallels in this presentation. When you walk out, you’ll feel much more confident with your move to the IXIA CCMS and DITA.
