The Headache of Regulations: How to Use MadCap Flare to Manage Your Medical Device and Machine Safety Regulations

There are two sets of regulations that drive people insane. They are called MDR (Medical Device Regulations) and MSR (Machine Safety Regulations). And today these regulations are fierce and getting fiercer. They both share one important feat: if your documentation is not in compliance with these regulations, an audit can effectively stop sales or worse. The result is an obvious disaster for companies that do not meet these regulations. In this presentation, Thomas Bro-Rasmussen will show how MadCap Flare can be used to address many of these issues at hand. A reporting mechanism designed to satisfy even the toughest audits will also be discussed. By the end of this session, you will have a solution that will bring the quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and technical documentation departments together with a smooth working environment – all due to Flare.

Exploring the Unknown Sides of MadCap Flare

MadCap Flare has huge potential – we all know that. Yet it has potential far beyond what almost all of us use it for. And far beyond where we almost always find Flare. In the technical documentation department. In this session, I’ll take the use of Flare a step forward, daringly even a bit out of its comfort zone, and look at other fantastic sides of Flare. Into the marketing department, producing material comparable with those of InDesign, or into HR, combining normal text and databases and even into production where tedious label production can be done with a flick of your fingers. I'll demonstrate how Flare fits perfectly into a wide range of other uses and how you can utilize what has been obvious for years: the unique Flare architecture. Spoiler alert: There's no reason to use 4 hours if you can do it in 4 seconds.
