The Journey to a Seamless Help and Learning Experience

Your users have questions. And you’ve got… online help, print PDFs, interactive walk-throughs, tutorial videos, an LMS, live and self-paced training sessions, case studies, product roadmaps, online forums, and more. The answers are all there, but they’re scattered across systems and difficult to find. Meanwhile, you dream of the day when all your help and learning platforms talk to each other and users can actually find what they’re looking for. But that day isn’t coming anytime soon – in fact, it seems farther and farther away as you’re constantly handed new tools and developing content across multiple platforms. This session will showcase the 84.51° Education team’s (admittedly ongoing) efforts to create a one-stop-shop for any and all user-facing help and learning. We’ll talk about what it took us to get here, where we’re headed next, and give you actionable ideas and next steps to get you started on your journey to a better learning experience.

Future-Proofing Your MadCap Flare Projects Against Rebranding

Rebranding. That terrifying word that you hoped would mean a quick fix, but (as usual) turned into a hot mess. Which means days, weeks, and maybe months updating all your content. Or does it? Over the past two years, 84.51° products and their Learning Centers have undergone four rebranding initiatives affecting various components and design elements. In most cases, it took just a few hours of work to update several projects with hundreds of topics that serve thousands of customers. Our secret? Global project linking and CSS variables. In this session, we’ll show you how to use the tools MadCap Flare provides to lay the groundwork for surprise updates and future-proof your work against that next corporate rebrand.
