Senior Sales Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned, enterprise-savvy Senior Sales Engineer to join our IXIA CCMS presales team. In this high-impact role, you’ll be the technical face of IXIA CCMS, guiding prospects through value-driven discovery, tailored demonstrations, and solution design. You’ll work alongside account executives to drive complex sales cycles and position MadCap Software as the preferred CCMS platform for structured content.
This role is critical to delivering technical excellence in strategic customer engagements. Your ability to align our platform with customer outcomes will directly influence win rates and revenue growth. This position report to the VP, Solution Architects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to own the technical sales process from discovery to close
- Lead client discovery and map challenges to IXIA CCMS capabilities with precision
- Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations (live and virtual)
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services to align roadmaps and customer goals
- Drive responses to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires
- Act as the subject matter expert for IXIASOFT CCMS, structured content, and DITA standards
- Represent MadCap Software at industry events, webinars, and strategic accounts
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the global presales org
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years in enterprise SaaS presales or solution engineering roles
- Strong familiarity with structured content, XML, and DITA
- Experience with technical documentation tools or CCMS platforms (IXIASOFT preferred)
- Experience with Oxygen XML editor preferred
- Outstanding communication, active listening, and customer engagement skills
- Proven ability to simplify complexity and align technology to business outcomes

Salary Range:$220K - $250K On Target Earning, includes commission pay
