The Help Viewer is not necessary for generating or using Microsoft HTML Help files, WebHelp files, or Printed Documentation. However, you do need it to distribute our new DotNetHelp format which is designed for use with Windows applications and modern security concerns in mind.

Mimic Extras

To generate Flash output, you must have the Java Runtime Environment 6 or later installed. Also, for Windows 7 and Vista users, the Lame ACM codec is necessary if you have Windows Audio files in your Mimic project.

MadCap Feedback Explorer

Download and install MadCap Feedback Explorer, needed to take full advantage of MadCap's Feedback Service. In addition to performing all of the functions of Flare's internal Feedback Explorer, this stand-alone application helps track topic views, viewing active users, creating Reviewer and Administrator accounts, creating charts from feedback, and creating synonyms "on-the-fly."
