Overview—Connecting HTML Help to an Application

You can work with your developer to "connect" an HTML Help system to a software application. The application can be connected to the basic Help output, to specific topics in the Help (context-sensitive Help), or both.

What you need to do

  1. Work with your developer to determine how you want to connect the Help to the application (basic Help, CSH, or both).
  2. Create and build your HTML Help project in Flare.
  3. Provide the developer with the output files, as well as the CSH header file (if you plan to use CSH).
  4. Provide the developer with the information in the following topic: Connecting HTML Help—Developers.
