MadCap Echo - Dynamic Audio Integration
Add a new dimension to your documentation projects by adding audio! You can use MadCap Echo to add
audible instructions, soundtracks, or any other type of sound element to your projects including
new Web2.0 technologies like PodCasts. MadCap Echo works with either .wav or .mp3 file formats
and can be used to record and/or edit your audio tracks. MadCap Echo has complete integration with
MadCap Flare and gives you the ability to create your own look and feel for
the audio playback controls that you provide to your users.

Support for industry standard file formats
Import audio files in standard .mp3 and .wav formats. Echo also supports .mp3, .wav, .xml, and .swf format
for the delivery of your new audio assets.

Audio recording
Record live audio directly into Echo. Great for capturing interviews with subject matter experts, creating
audio instructions, or even recording PodCasts for distribution.

Audio editing
Echo includes an interface for adjusting the volume on portions of your recordings or files allowing you
to compensate for area that might be too quiet. You can also hand edit the audio waveforms or even insert
additional silence where necessary for timing purposes.

Integration with MadCap Flare
Echo can be used in a stand alone manner, or used with MadCap Flare in a direct integration manner. Echo
playback controls are easily added to Flare topics and the Echo editor can be called and opened directly
from within the Flare interface.
